TUTCO SureHeat

TUTCO SureHeat has over 55 years of experience in developing innovative high performance heating solutions, for decades defining the benchmark for electrical air heaters used in hypersonic wind-tunnel applications. Our solutions cover power levels from just a few kilowatts to multi-megawatt systems, delivering ultra-fast heat-up times of only a few seconds and reliably achieving air temperatures up to 1100 °C. Each heater is a fully customized, application-specific design, engineered to meet the most demanding pressure, temperature, and performance requirements. The heater design is based on the so-called serpentine heating element, which the company developed back in 1968 and refined to perfection over all those years.

Originally part of OSRAM SYLVANIA Inc., the business was acquired by Smiths Group in 2017 and integrated into its FlexTek division. Today, TUTCO SureHeat is part of the TUTCO Heating Group, the world’s largest supplier of open coil heating elements, producing up to 38,000 heaters daily. The company holds about 80% of U.S. patents in this technology and serves a wide range of industries. Manufactured in the USA, TUTCO SureHeat air- and gas- heaters have a legacy in being used for developments in the aerospace, in the aviation and the gas turbine industry worldwide.
