About the Congress

Background

The 29th AIDAA International Congress will take place, for the first time in hystor of the association, from 20th to 23th September 2027, hosted by the Politecnico di Bari. This conference represents a unique platform for leading experts, academics, and industry professionals to converge and shape the future of the aerospace sector.

Aims of the conference

The 29th AIDAA International Congress aims to provide a dynamic and internationally recognised forum for the presentation, discussion, and dissemination of the latest scientific advances in aeronautics and astronautics.

Held every two years, the AIDAA Congress brings together scientists, researchers, engineers, academics, industry experts, and students from a wide range of disciplines, creating a dynamic environment in which new ideas, innovative methodologies, and emerging technologies can be presented, shared, and critically discussed.

The Congress provides a dedicated forum for discussing recent developments in aerospace science and engineering, including advanced materials and structures, aerodynamics, propulsion, flight mechanics, space systems, computational methods, experimental techniques, sustainability, and emerging multidisciplinary applications:

  • promote the presentation and exchange of high-quality scientific research;
  • provide an overview of the most recent advances in aeronautics and astronautics;
  • encourage interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers working in different areas of aerospace science and engineering;
  • identify emerging research topics, innovative technologies, and future scientific challenges;
  • stimulate collaboration among universities, research centres, and industrial organisations;
  • support the development of new research networks and scientific partnerships;
  • encourage the participation of young researchers, doctoral candidates, and early-career professionals;
  • offer younger members of the aerospace community the opportunity to present their work, receive valuable feedback, and engage directly with internationally recognised experts.

Through keynote lectures, technical sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, the 29th AIDAA International Congress will offer participants a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in aerospace science and engineering.

More than a scientific meeting, the Congress represents an opportunity to inspire the international aerospace community, strengthen cooperation among its different stakeholders, and contribute to the definition of a shared strategic vision for the future of aeronautics and space.
