The 32nd Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS)
Postponed to 06-10 September 2021, Shanghai, China
with some very demanding months with the Covid-19 pandemic behind us, the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences has decided to
Postpone the ICAS 2020 Congress to 06–10 September 2021, in Shanghai, China.
Together with our Hosting Society, the Chinese Society of Aeronautic and Astronautic (CSAA), I am very positive that this is the best alternative with the available information today. This postponement should enable the authors to complete their studies for the proposed papers and, hopefully, it will allow for a much larger participation in the Congress compared to an attempt to force the event to occur in September 2020.
All authors will have the possibility to update their papers and, in some cases, even to perform adjustment on the subject in order to guarantee that really current information is discussed in the Congress.
Despite the postponement of the ICAS Congress 2020 to 2021, ICAS will continue its traditional biannual congress cycle on even years with the ICAS Congress 2022 in Stockholm.
With best wishes, please stay safe.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 32nd Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), the only international forum that covers the world of aeronautics, bringing together a global array of topics and participants. ICAS was established some 60 years ago under the leadership of Professor Theodore von Kármán. Today ICAS continues to support the work of aerospace professional Member Societies around the world. Through Associate Memberships, ICAS brings together aerospace companies, national laboratories and educational institutions. The 2020 ICAS Congress will be held in Shanghai, China from 14 to 18 September. In addition to the usual broad coverage of the Congress, there will be particular focus on the theme of “Urban and Regional Air Mobility”. The tremendous successes of previous ICAS Congresses in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and Daejeon, Korea, provide an indication of the value to be gained from your participation in the ICAS Congress.
